Dubai: A new treatment that claims to have a success rate of up to 90 per cent in helping people to quit smoking has reached the UAE.

The I Quit Smoking (IQS) treatment electrically stimulates the outer ear to promote the release of a substance that reduces the craving for nicotine.

IQS costs Dh2,000 per person. It is available at the Dubai Medical Group at Hamarain Centre, Dubai, Al Mazroui Hospital in Abu Dhabi, Emirates International Hospital in Al Ain and Specialised Medical Centre in Sharjah.
